The client's dream was to create the feeling of an existing Mediterranean house that was remodeled with a contemporary language, while still retaining its European influences. Aged European tiles, stacked stone, and wood ceilings are combined with plaster walls and steel detailing to create a world between "old" and "new." The intention was to blend contemporary European furniture and the client's own antiques to create a comfortable and elegant old-world feeling with a modern aesthetic. LUIS ORTEGA INTERIORS also executed the architectural design of this project.
